Searching for a venue can be stressful and tedious. This is especially true if you are an event planner and your client doesn't already have a venue chosen. There takes countless emails, phone calls, site visits, and expert negotiating skills to book a venue. At Venyou, we want to change that and make that process easier. Before we built our software, we polled over 100+ planners on what they looked for when booking an event venue. Here are a few of their responses:
"Responsiveness is THE most important part of working with venues. I am a detail-oriented person and if I can't nail down specifics with a venue, I usually start looking for another one. It's hard for me to want to work with new venues if they aren't responsive."
-Emily from Salt Lake City, UT
"I know venues have specific price points that they need to meet to hold an event but many times I find that venues aren't willing to be at least a little flexible when it comes to price. I always look for venues that are flexible with me because it allows me to meet the demand my clients."
-Deborah from Boston, MA
"Venues put their best foot forward for clients but they need to be more transparent for planners. I find where venues are least transparent is with their pricing. As planners, we have a specific budget and I sometimes I need a "yes" or "no" if you will be able to accommodate or not."
-Adam from Chicago, IL

"I can't tell you how many times I have seen a beautiful venue that simply has awful pictures. It is so hard to describe a venue to a client if you don't have great pictures of your space. Please venues, get better pictures!"
-Katie from Naples, FL
"Honestly, this past few years being an event planner has been hard. It has become a competitive environment and I work with venues that are the nicest to me and my clients. I want to work with people who are friendly!"
-Patty from Philadelphia, PA
